Help Us #CelebrateUU: Love Beyond the Diagnosis
In 2025, three courageous couples helped launch #CelebrateUU for Couples at World AIDS Day.
Now we’re building the next chapter.
For 2026, I’m inviting additional couples or polycules where one partner(s) is/are living with HIV and the other(s) is/are not to help expand this growing portrait series.
Because when someone is undetectable, they do not transmit HIV.
And that truth deserves to be seen clearly.
Why This Matters
U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable) has transformed what relationships look like.
PrEP provides additional prevention tools.
Yet stigma and outdated fears still shape how people understand serodifferent relationships.
The couples already featured in this project show what modern HIV care actually looks like: trust, science, partnership, and real love.
We’re continuing that story.
The 2026 Vision
This, the project will grow to include 15 relationships total.
The expanded series will be showcased at:
- Long-Term Survivors Summit – June 5, 2026
- World AIDS Day – December 1, 2026
This is a living, evolving exhibition.
What Participation Looks Like
Each couple or polycule receives:
- A private pre-session conversation
- An in-home portrait session (or other location TBD)
- A chance to share a short narrative in your own words
- Final approval of images and text before display
- A $50 gift card per person as appreciation
Participation is customizable:
Full names, first names, or pseudonyms
Identifying or non-identifying portraits
The option to step back before public release
All partners must feel fully comfortable.
This begins with a private, no-pressure conversation.

Believe in the science of U=U
Want to help replace fear with understanding
Feel ready to explore visibility at their own pace
Want other couples to feel less alone
